Josshead
So . . . the Dollhouse pilot mostly sucked except for Helo and the obvious BSG/Adama reference. When is Joss going to write an ep? | | Saturday, February 7th, 2009 | | 11:02 am |
battlestar galactica
I would like to say that it is incredibly frustrating, after a month of downloading episode after episode of BSG on iTunes, to now have to wait a week at a time for an episode. LAME. | | Thursday, August 23rd, 2007 | | 1:58 pm |
Bon anniversaire, Jenn-Jenn!

Happy Birthday, Jen-Jen!!!
Here's to a day full of happy, earthy, shiny things and no big bads. . . | | Tuesday, August 1st, 2006 | | 9:08 am |
Coming back around the bend
I will be a Southern girl once more starting August 12. Addy will be: 460 Barnett Shoals Rd. Condo F5 Athens, GA 30605 I have many ruminations on California, but it is not the place for me. I will be settling in Atlanta permanently after I finish law school next year. Also, look for postcards from Tahoe and San Fran, as Tristan and I embark on vacation next week. | | Monday, May 8th, 2006 | | 8:35 am |
Contrary to popular opinion, the face of the world has dropped off of me
This week I got a new yoga teacher from New Orleans, with long green dreds and blue tattoos. She says she won't go back until the levees are fixed. Almost done with exams--just have to plow through Con Law II. We read over 1800 dictionary-sized pages this semester and it's closed book. Nineteen minutes and counting . . . This semester, I have watched: 1) the entirety of the Sopranos (bravo!), most of 24 (addictive), some of Boston Legal (Denny Crane!!!) and what seems like thousands of movies. The Life Aquatic and Capote get stars of various sizes and colors. Lucky Number Slevin gets the self-conscious hip wardrobe award. Also, Tristan & I went to The Sentinel and every time Keifer Sutherland came onscreen I bounced in my seat and squealed: "JACK BAUER! JACK BAUER!" Jack Bauer is never wrong. To reiterate, this summer Tristan & I will be living in California, him studying for the bar exam and me working for a large law firm. I still have a year to finish up in law school, and have decided to do Corporate Law, which means that next year is THE YEAR OF TAX. Soon I will be rich, and I will buy things. I think that's pretty much as far ahead as I've thought . . . | | Thursday, April 20th, 2006 | | 11:27 am |
Addy

NEW ADDRESS: Kelly E. Moul c/o Tristan Morrison (if you wish) 7270 N. Geraldine Fresno, CA 93711 I will frequently be in L.A., San Fran, SLO, etc., so if you have wine or other requests, leave them here for me. Comment and... 1. I'll respond with something random I like about you. 2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you. 3. I'll name something we should do together. 4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me (or just me). 5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you. 6. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you. 7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you. 8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal so you can do the same for (myself and) other people | | Thursday, January 12th, 2006 | | 10:13 am |
Back from Chile!
Indeed. There were many full-grown dogs on the streets, horrible sewer systems and poison water, along with questionable food, like blood-soaked french fries and cold plankton. But I learned a lot of Spanish and got to taste the best Sauvignon Blanc ever made, and tolerated the red wines well, and walked all over and got a delicious sun tan. And now my passport has a rockin' South America stamp. Thanks to all who sent me Christmas/New Year cards (I'm still opening my mail) and I will provide a longer update later. Oh, kirroyale, thanks especially for the CD. It is in my car as we speak! | | Saturday, December 3rd, 2005 | | 2:20 pm |
Happy Birthday, LeLe. I still love you, even though I left you stranded at the airport. You should come live with me for your first year of graduate school in Atlanta. | | Thursday, October 13th, 2005 | | 11:08 am |

I finally figured out what sugar-free Red Bull tastes like!
...smarties! Y'know the little candies? Man, I hate the taste of those nasty, chalky buggers. But I drink the Red Bull because Fergie from the Black-Eyed Peas says that she drinks it, and she has nice abs. Sadly, law school has not improved my consumer habits, nor even made them more logical. Sugar-free Red Bull really does make me feel good, though. Is there an off chance that it's spiked with cocaine? San Diego, Los Angeles or Fresno. Those are the job offers. All in California. After spending an arm and a leg to entertain me, the firms in Atlanta apparently decided that I don't have enough roots here to be a safe hire. Well, screw the South-East, then...I'm moving to California! Probably Fresno will win out, considering that the Boy will be living and working there, and it's smarter financially. It's looking more and more like a ring is in my future--a ruby or a sapphire, to be precise... I'm reading a 71-page law review on "The 'Conservative' Paths of the Rehnquist Court's Federalism Decisions," which is boring, but probably not as boring as "Clarissa," which poisoninjest is being forced to stomach. At least my article is relatively slim. kirroyale, I'm visiting D.C. this weekend. Will you be there? This semester is really effing busy and I've been a grumpy, grumpy girl. But after I decide on a job, I'll be much more chipper, like a permament sugar-free Red Bull high... As always, I appreciate mail, e-mail and otherwise... | | Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005 | | 6:48 am |
It's jenjinn's day!!! Happy birthday, darling. Look for an Amazon package tomorrow. May this be your bestest birthday, and a fine year as well... | | Saturday, May 28th, 2005 | | 3:48 pm |
Not a real entry; that will come later...
1. Total number of books owned? They are spilling all over the place at home, I have many books at Tristan's house and also a few in Michigan that I haven't got around to bringing to Georgia yet... 2. The last book(s) I bought? "Constitutional Law" and "Evidence" casebooks for fall semester 3. The last book I (re)read? F. Scott Fitzgerald's "Tender is the Night," "The Sommelier's Guide to Wine," Raymond T. Bond's "Handbook for Poisoners", Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead" 4. 5 books that mean a lot to me? 1) F. Scott Fitzgerald's "This Side of Paradise" 2) Vladimir Nabokov's "Lolita" or "Pale Fire" or "Invitation to a Beheading" (it's really about Nabokov, not the individual books) 3) Hadley Arkes' "First Things" 4) Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man & the Sea" (again, really anything by Heminway could make the list) 5) Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead" 5. Tag 5 people and have them fill this out on their ljs: Okay, jenjinn, poisoninjest, suncirkles, ralphieboy and ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=88.8) ... A Joke About All-Girls School
Andy: Being in the cafeteria at Smith was one of the most unnerving experiences of my life! Kelly: Heh. I'll bet. Andy: No, really. You walk in for breakfast and hundreds of heads turn--"Who's that boy? Who's he with?" Kelly: [laughing] Andy: The servers ask them, "Do you want bacon?" And they say, "No, I want that boy! It's a real boy! Who's he with?" Kelly: [Still laughing] Uh. Sad but true. | | Wednesday, October 27th, 2004 | | 12:39 pm |
What I love about devilwrites the first time i met her--she was wearing shorts and came up to my first small-as-a-closet room in tinker. she told me about ghosts in 3b and the choir. she was nice and businesslike and her eyes had a snap in them. they still do--they always do. it's the reification of her devil-nature, or put more accurately, her verve. shara has so much verve. independence, too--i love that about her. she has so much quiet and firm autonomy; she is not easily swayed. her life is her own. everyone respects shara. even when they don't agree with her, her strength compels them to at least give her opinion valid weight. i love you, devil! and i respect you. happy b-day! | | Monday, October 25th, 2004 | | 4:52 pm |
I'm grateful for...
I didn't realize how much I loved y'all--and how special you are--until I got outside the Hollins bubble. There are just too few little English-y, fan-girl, great-writer geeks. Reading through my Friendslist makes my day, all the time. When you are bright and bubby or sour or sprightly or pucksih...all of you...you are the best! | | Thursday, September 9th, 2004 | | 4:33 pm |
Yes, I am a "Bush-voting zombie." From now on, I'll make sure all my friends are Republicans or at least liberals who live up to their hypocritical bullshit rhetoric of "tolerance." Thank you, and good day. Current Mood: pissed off | | Tuesday, September 7th, 2004 | | 4:31 pm |
Hurricane rain and strawberry slush
Eeh! Rachel sent me a real sky-and-sea blue-beaded Mexican rosary! Eeh! And rancheras and nortenas. Yesterday I had the 24-hour flu. I actually broke down in tears from the severity of the pain--a rare event, as I can usually survive breaking whole bones with a bare wince. Karla (the roomie) drove me to Kroger, where I procured sugar-free chocolate fudgesicles. After eating 12 or so and drinking a Diet Coke, I felt elated, but then fell to feeling feverish and crappy again in an hour. Other than a slight knot in my stomach when I ate breakfast and lunch, however, I feel fine today--I am burning high octane fuel, firing on all cylinders, etc. Today was one of those days when I felt perfect: cream knit sweater and cute blue jeans and cream Danskos, hair in a tangled mess of curls and miniature braids, answered a question in every class in an astute and articulate manner and found a healthy blueberry muffin recipe that's actually delicious. Okie-dae. Back to my Contract's article on "Unconscionability." Current Mood: accomplished |
